AVIATION MAINTENANCE RATINGS

The TRAMAN and NRTC package provides information on subject matter that relates directly to the occupational standards of the following nine aviation ratings: AD, AE, AME, AMH, AMS, AO, AS, AT, and PR. The NRTC provides the usual method to satisfy the requirements for completing a TRAMAN.

AIRCREW SURVIVAL EQUIPMENTMAN 1 & C

Provides information to satisfy the occupational needs of Aircrew Survival Equipmentmen in these areas: sewing machine repair; maintenance of carbon dioxide transfer equipment; oxygen system component test equipment; aircraft-mounted oxygen-breathing regulators; miniature-type oxygen-breathing regulators; aircraft liquid oxygen converters; survival procedures and search and rescue equipment.


AIRCREW SURVIVAL EQUIPMENTMAN 2

Provides information for the PR rate. Fundamental subject matter coverage of: personnel parachute familiarization; automatic opening devices; NES-12 personnel parachute system; protective equipment; rescue and survival equipment; inflatable survival equipment, seat survival kit; carbon dioxide; sewing machines; fabrication and manufacture; oxygen test stands and oxygen related components.


SIGNALMAN 1 & C

Provides information in the following areas: visual communications; signal equipment; messages; allied communication procedures; allied flaghoist procedures; international signaling; convoy communications; watchstanding duties; honors and ceremonies; security; amphibious duties; aircraft and ship identification, and technical administration.


SIGNALMAN 3 & 2

Provides information in the following areas: visual communications; signal equipment; messages; allied communication procedures; allied flaghoist procedures; international signaling; convoy communications; watchstanding duties; honors and ceremonies; security; amphibious duties; aircraft and ship identification, and technical administration.


AVIATION MAINTENANCE ADMINISTRATIONMAN BASIC

Provides Aviation Maintenance Administrationman personnel with occupational information on the following areas: the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program; maintenance administration; technical publication library; maintenance control and production control; the Maintenance Data System; aircraft logbooks; the Aircraft Inventory Reporting System; the Aeronautical Equipment Service Record; and the Aircraft Engine Management System.


AVIATION BOATSWAIN'S MATE E

This NRTC presents the basic fundamentals of maintenance tools and their uses, measuring tools and techniques, MK 7 aircraft recovery equipment, emergency recovery equipment, steam catapults, associated launching equipment, the aircraft launch and recovery equipment maintenance program, and maintenance planning and administration.
