is more difficult to read the entries. Also, the pages
do not tear easily if you use only one side.
The QS logs are the most important log books
an ABF has to deal with daily, so write or print the
log entries clearly. It is useless to log the results if
only one person can interpret the handwriting.
The results in the log book indicate whether or
not everything is operating correctly or if a problem
exists. When a problem does exist, notify your
supervisors at once. Do not wait as corrective
action must be taken immediately. Remember,
someone’s life is in that multimillion dollar aircraft.
The QS log should be in the format illustrated in
figure 3-15. Keep the log book neat, clean, and dry.
Good housekeeping pays off. A log that is poorly kept.
dirty, or has ripped or missing pages is a direct
reflection about the way the QS lab is being operated.
SUMMARY
The performance of any engine, especially
aircraft engines, depends on the quality of the fuel
used in it. As an ABF, the quality of fuel depends
on your constant vigilance in the inspection of fuel
samples and operation of purification and filtering
equipment. YOUR MAJOR OBJECTIVE IS TO
DELIVER CLEAN, DRY, AND CORRECT FUEL TO
AIRCRAFT.
