The E-00 lists each aircraft or item of SE assigned to the reporting custodian. The report is sorted by organizational code, PUC, TEC, serial number, and meter (SE only). This report is used to verify data that is contained in the master files of the local DSF. (See figs. 4-31 and 4-32 for examples of aircraft and SE master rosters.) In these rosters, the PUC DATA ELEMENT IS USED FOR AIRCRAFT ONLY. The meter data element is used for SE only.
If corrections to the E-00 are required, the reporting activity will make such corrections by submitting proper source documents (VIDS/ MAFs using TRCODE 00, 02, or 03.)
For correction of PUC (aircraft only), inventory code corrections are made on the daily audit report using audit report correction procedures.
For correction to action organization, transaction code, TEC, bureau/serial number, time, and date, a NEW transaction must be submitted and the incorrect transaction deleted.
Frequently, organizational and intermediate maintenance activities require the help of higher levels of maintenance. Forms have been developed to make it easier to get such assistance. The following sections contain a brief discussion of each type of work request form currently in use. Those activities using NALCOMIS, should refer to the NALCOMIS User's Manual for detailed procedures for submitting a work request.
The VIDS/MAF work request is used by supported maintenance and supply activities to request work or assistance from the supporting IMA for work that is beyond the capability of the requesting activity. The VIDS/MAF work request is used for, but not limited to, the following requests:
To request check, test, and service of items removed from an aircraft/equipment/SE for scheduled maintenance when requested work is beyond the capability of the requesting activity
NOTE: Work requests for items removed for check, test, service, and local manufacture/ fabrication must be approved and signed by the requesting activity's maintenance control supervisor and the supporting activity's production control supervisor.
To induct items not part of the aircraft and/or SE that require check, test, and service; for example, pilot's personal equipment, oxygen masks, life preservers, and parachutes
To induct components from supply for check, test, and service
