BRU-33/A BOMB EJECTOR
RACK
The BRU-33/A bomb ejector rack (VER) (fig.
10-7) is suspended by the BRU-32/A bomb ejector
rack. It is used to suspend two stores weighing up to
1,000 pounds each by using 14-inch suspension hooks.
The VER features a special safety interlock and
automatic sway bracing. The safety interlock is
electrically controlled by the aircraft and mechanically
prevents accidental opening of the suspension hooks.
Sensing switches are incorporated to indicate to the
SMP that a store is loaded. The rack has provisions for
mechanical and electric fuzing. The ejection unit uses
two cartridges to generate the required gas pressure for
rack operations.
