LEARNING
OBJECTIVE:
Identify
the
purpose and use of dispensers and ejectors.
Dispensers and ejectors are used during tactical
situations to provide additional offensive and defensive
capabilities to the aircraft. These units are usually
detachable. They are suspended from other installed
suspension equipment, or they are mounted directly to
the aircraft. They are used to suspend and release
ordnance items, such as aircraft parachute flares and
sonobuoys. In this section of the TRAMAN, you will
learn about the basic characteristics of dispensers and
ejectors currently in use.
