Receiving incoming material, identifyingit to the failed component, and when all requiredmaterial is received, reinducting the component.. Continually reviewing and following up onoff-station requisitions to fill AWP requirements.l Establishing procedures to make sure un-satisfactory LRCA AWP situations are madeknown to higher authority for assistance.l Making recommendations for controlledcannibalization of AWP components after jointreview and determination between the AWP unitrepresentative and the IMA production control.l Establishing procedures to BCM com-ponents to the next level of repair when ap-propriate. AWP management must be responsiveto aircraft maintenance needs by guaranteeing thattimely follow-up, validation, and BCM actionsare performed. The accuracy of AWP inventoryrequisition records and outstanding requisitionsmust be maintained through weekly reviews. Astandard of no less than 98 percent accuracy isnecessary for effective AWP management.Additional management attention, including ajoint review of the overall AWP situation bymaintenance and supply management personnel,is undertaken any time the number of AWP com-ponents on hand exceeds 15 percent of the averagemonthly IMA inductions or the number of aged(more than 60 days) AWP components exceeds1 percent of the average monthly IMA inductions.ALLOWANCE DETERMINATIONThe complex process of identifying andspecifying the material needs of an organizationis referred to as allowance or requirementsdetermination.
